How to fix?

Step 1: Remove Pentalobe Screws

Turn off your iPhone before starting the disassembly.

Remove the two 6.8mm long Pentalobe P2 screws on the bottom edge of the iPhone.

Step 2: Heat the Bottom of the Phone

Heating the bottom of the iPhone helps soften the glue that holds the screen in place, making it easier to open.

Place a heated iOpener on the bottom edge of the screen to soften the glue. Please place the heated iOpener on the bottom of the phone for at least 2 minutes.

You can also use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate to heat the bottom of the phone, but be careful not to overheat the device. The heated bottom of the phone should feel slightly warm to the touch, not hot.

Step 3: Insert an Opening Pick

Put a suction handle on the bottom edge of the screen, please avoid the very edge of the glass.

Keep pulling firmly on the suction cup until there is a small gap between the front panel and the rear case.

Insert an opening pick into this gap.

The glue that fixes the screen is very strong, and creating this gap is not so simple, you need to apply a lot of force. If you have trouble creating this gap. Heat the bottom of the phone again, then gently rock the screen up and down to soften the glue until you can pull enough to insert an opening pick.

Step 4: Heat and Soften the Screen Glue

Place the heated iOpener on the left side of the screen to soften the glue underneath. Please place the heated iOpener on the screen for at least 2 minutes.

Step 5: Cut the Glue on the Left Screen

Insert an opening pick into the lower left corner of the screen, and slide it up along the left edge of the phone to cut the glue holding the screen in place.

When inserting the pick, do not insert the pick more than 3mm into the phone, or you may damage the display cable.

Step 6: Heat to Soften Screen Glue

Place the heated iOpener on the right side of the screen to soften the glue underneath. Please place the heated iOpener on the screen for at least 2 minutes.

Step 7: Cut the Glue on the Right Screen

Insert an opening pick into the lower right corner of the screen, and slide it up along the right edge of the phone to cut the glue holding the screen in place.

When inserting the pick, do not insert the pick more than 3 mm into the phone, or you may damage internal parts.

Step 8: Heat the Top of the Phone

Place the heated iOpener on top of the screen to soften the glue underneath. Please place the heated iOpener on the screen for at least 2 minutes.

Step 9:Scrape off the Glue on the Top of the Phone

Insert an opening pick on the top right side of the phone. Start at the top right corner and cut the glue halfway up the top edge, stopping just before the cutout for the speaker.

When inserting the pick, do not insert the pick more than 2mm into the phone, or you may damage the front panel sensor.

Step 10:Insert an Opening Pick on the Top Left Side of the Phone

Slash the glue from the top left corner halfway up the top edge, stopping in front of the cutout for the speaker.

When inserting the pick, do not insert the pick more than 3mm into the phone, or you may damage the front panel sensor.

Don't try to completely detach the screen just yet, as there are a few fragile flex cables still attached to the iPhone's logic board.

Step 11: Turn on Your Phone

Flip the phone screen from the right side of the phone like flipping through a book.

Keep the flipped phone screen upright against another object while you do the following.

If you don't have anything handy to hold the screen against, you can use the suction handle instead.

During the reassembly process, place the screen in place, align the clips along the top edge, and carefully press the top edge into place before snapping the rest of the display down. If it doesn't snap into place easily, check the condition of the clips around the screen and make sure they aren't bent.

Step 12: Unscrew the Battery Connector Cover

Use Precision Screwdriver Set to remove the eight screws securing the battery connector cover.

6pcs 1.3mm screws

1 x 1.6mm screw

1 x 1.9mm screw

Throughout the repair process, make sure not to lose any screws and make sure they return exactly to their original positions to avoid damaging your iPhone.

During reassembly, this is your best chance to power up your iPhone and test all functions. In case you find out where there is a problem after you have glued the screen. Be sure to power off your iPhone before proceeding with the installation after testing.

Step 13: Remove the Battery Connector Cover

Grab the connector cover with tweezers and slide it down to avoid the flex cable above the connector cover.

Step 14: Disconnect the Battery

Use the point of a spudger to pry the battery connector up from its socket to disconnect the battery flex cable.

Just try not to damage the black silicone seal around this and other board connectors. These sealing rings further prevent water and dust from entering the mobile phone.

Bend the connector slightly away from the motherboard to prevent the connector from accidentally touching the socket to power the phone during repairs.

Step 15:Disconnect the Screen Cable

Use a pointed spudger to pry the first screen connector up from its socket on the logic board.

To reattach this snap-in connector, carefully align and press down on one side of the connector until it snaps into place, then repeat on the other side. Please do not press the middle of the interface. If the connectors are misaligned, the pins may bend, causing permanent damage.

Step 16:

Use a pointed spudger to pry the second screen connector out of its socket on the logic board.

Step 17:Remove Screen

After cleaning the affected area with alcohol (>90%), apply new glue where needed.

During reassembly, pause here if you want to replace the screen glue.

Use a Y000 screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the rear camera assembly cover.

Four 1.5mm long Y000 screws

A 1.2mm long Y000 screw

Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove a 1.7mm long screw.

During reassembly, pause here if you want to replace the screen glue.

Step 19:Remove the Rear Camera Cover

The upper right corner of the camera cover has a small metal bump under the phone's bezel.

Use tweezers to grab the rear camera cover.

Move the camera cover towards the volume buttons so that the small metal bump comes off the bezel.

Step 20: Remove the Rear Camera Cover

During reassembly, make sure to align the rear camera cover and push the small metal tabs back into the grooves in the frame.

Step 20: Disconnecting the Ultra Wide and Telephoto Lenses

Use a spudger to pry the connector up from the socket to disconnect the ultra-wide and telephoto lenses.
