1. Be sure to turn off your iPhone before disassembling.
2. Remove the display assembly. Please use professional disassembly tools to disassemble. Opening the iPhone's display can break its waterproof seal. 3. Remove the four Y000 screws that secure the bracket to the home/Touch ID sensor: one 1.1mm screw; three 1.3mm screws.
4. Remove the bracket that secures the Home/Touch ID sensor.
5. Lift the home button connector to the right to disconnect it from the socket on the interconnect cable.
6. Gently move the home button interconnect cable out of the home button cable. Don't try to detach the push-on connector completely - just lift it up so it's out of the way when removing the Home/Touch ID sensor cable.
7. Flip the display assembly over and apply the warm iOpener to the home/Touch ID sensor area for about 90 seconds. This also helps soften the adhesive holding the precision sensor cable in place. A heat gun or hair dryer has proven to be more convenient and a time saver. You can heat more and the glue becomes more runny, making subsequent steps with an opening pick easier.
8. Use an opening pick to gently separate the adhesive securing the Home/Touch ID sensor cable to the back of the display panel.
9. Remove the old home/Touch ID sensor assembly.
10. Reinstall the new one in reverse order.
